Fishers Ghost Art Award 2023

I am a finalist! Very excited to be a part of this years 61st Fishers Ghost Art Award.

My work Calendula - nature’s balsam was selected and I could not be more proud.

This painting came about during my first pregnancy and was completed after the birth. Calendula flowers were growing wildly in our garden which attracted bees and butterflies as Winter broke through into Spring. Naturally, it also became an important ingredient for baby bath-time using Weleda natural oils and bath milk for baby Felix. It is one of my favourite natural brands.

The exhibition will be held from Saturday 28th October - Friday 8th December.

Opening night: Friday 3rd November - See you there!

Gallery Tour! C-A-C

Art galleries are magical spaces where creativity and imagination converge, inviting us into a world of artistic expression. Stepping into an art gallery is like embarking on a captivating journey, where each artwork tells a story or conveys a profound emotion. The walls are adorned with carefully curated masterpieces, showcasing a diverse range of styles, themes, and mediums. As we wander through the galleries, we find ourselves transported to different eras and cultures, as artists use their brushes and chisels to capture the essence of life. Every stroke, every brush of color, and every sculpted form holds the power to provoke thought, ignite inspiration, and evoke a deep connection within us. Whether we are admirers, collectors, or even aspiring artists, art galleries offer a sanctuary where we can immerse ourselves in the beauty and power of artistic expression.

You’ll find me at Campbelltown Art Centre Saturday 5th August running a tour of the current Exhibitions. Elizabeth Cummings, Catherine O’Donnell, Macarthur textile and more! I can’t wait to share the space with other like-minded creatives.

The cafe on site is in the middle of a refurbishment as well as a change of hands… so we will have to wait and see - and BYO latte :)

Street Art Collabs!

  • Queen Street Campbelltown, NSW, 2560 Australia (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

I recently worked with a few incredibly talented artists in the streets of Campbelltown as a part of “Revitalise Queen street” initiative! I added my marks to the wonderfully colourful “Three Mobs” serpent mural by Jason Wing, as well as the delightful flora and fauna designs of Victoria Garcia - specifically the Moth :)

When you are next nearby - take a moment to explore the Campbelltown city centre and discover the four new public art installations by acclaimed artists Danielle Mate, Savanhdary Vongpoothorn, Jason Wing, Victoria Garcia and Bayvick Lawrance.

Each of the works tells stories of diversity, resilience and connection that speak to the values of the Campbelltown community.

These projects are funded by the NSW Government through Festival of Place and the CBD Revitalisation Fund. I hope this keeps happening!
