The Herbert’s passionfruit is one of the few passionfruit vines endemic to Australia.

This botanical Illustration uses both watercolour and graphite, and the final print form follows the traditional style with the colour of the paper remaining.

The image records the symbiotic relationship between the Australian Glasswing butterfly and the native climber - the butterfly chooses this particular vine to lay its eggs on the wide leaves and continues its full life cycle in the vicinity of the plant.
