This week I spent an afternoon playing with autumn leaves and teaching watercolour with a group of young curious learners!

Stef Hamze runs Gather and Grow - a home school group set in the beautiful tree-lined neighbourhood of Harrington Park. The focus of my class is to engage and inspire the kids about the natural world, while teaching them art skills and having a bit of fun along the way. Inspired by an array of autumn leaves spread wildly across the table - each student created their own still-life paintings by sketching out a design with waterproof fine liners and then using wet-in-wet techniques to bring their ideas to life.

I am always so excited to see the different results. Children’s art in so simple and pure. It makes me smile.
