The Drawing Room...

Earlier this year my little family and studio relocated to the beautiful suburb of COBBITTY NSW. We live in a small cottage at Denbigh Farm which is a Heritage listed property with multiple buildings and a diverse history. that has it’s beginnings in 1816!

Moving house is always a whirlwind adventure - however we didn’t waste a moment and got right into painting, cleaning and dreaming of course.. (My husband is an architect and loves this stuff :)

The most exciting part about our new space was the SPACE.. Each window has a view to nature, no cars, roads, trucks or people… the house is surrounded by fields of friendly cows and the garden is quite a bit larger that our old place. Anyway I’ll get to the point - the Drawing room.

A space big enough for both David and I to work, a wall length book shelf and art supply storage - as well as a dedicated glass cabinet for my cabinet of curiosity! I am so happy in this space and feel like it’s given me a refreshing boost for creativity as well as a lovely connection to the local artists, potters and the owners who have a pottery and woodworking studio up the hill.

Working on one of my latest pieces - Trametes versicolor

Watch this space - lot’s to do and plenty of ideas to share.
